Reject Squad card game
For a few years I have been developing a tabletop card game with my friend Jacob Mooney. Reject Squad is a comedic storytelling card game where ridiculous superheroes solve hilarious crises. One player is the talent scout, and creates the crisis out of crisis cards and twist cards. The other players use power and restriction cards to create heroes on the spot. Then the talent scout interviews each hero and hires one of them!
The framing device of a fake job interview, and the emphasis on making bad characters ensures that even players who don’t normally like party or storytelling games have fun.
We are currently looking for a publisher.
2nd Story events
For years I have been working with a Chicago based storytelling group called 2nd Story. They host events in and around Chicago that elevate the storyteller’s words to deliver a unique, live, literary/theatrical experience unlike any other in the city.
All of their stories are expertly crafted and the performances have sound design to enhance the experience. I am one of the sound designers who helps bring these stories in front of an audience.
